Year in Review

The year 2007 will be one to remember for the members of Vigilant Fire Co., and WSFD #6.  Many calls, occured this year, with some being quite strange, and hard on rescuers.  Calls varied from numerous woring structure fires in our district in the spring and summer, including the night time fire at Conners on Seneca St.  Some challenging but brave acts were done by particular fire fighters during the summer, when an infant was found face down in a pool in the families yard in district.  Resuscitation efforts proved to be lifesaving and greatly appreciated as the infant is doing well.  Other note worthy calls for the 2007 year were the fires at the Auto Bureau, at the old youth center,a nd the Trolley Car fire in Unions district.  With the year coming to a close, efforts and ethics should only grow stronger as Vigilant Fire Copmpany enters 2008.
