November 2, 2006

This day was very busy with calls. There was a light snow and freezing rain in the early afternoon. A motorist was exiting the Route 400 at Seneca Street and slid off the roadway. The car was found down on the side of the road in a drainage ditch. Seneca Hose originally received the call. Vigilant was called in for support in extrication and to assist in landing Mercy Flight on the roadway of the exit ramp. Seneca Hose had cut the roof off the vehicle and Vigilant assisted the victim out of the car. Mercy Flight transported the patient to ECMC.

Crews extricate patient from vehicle.
