An early morning fire caused damage to the old Ames building at 2400 Seneca Street. Seneca Hose, Winchester and Vigilant Fire Companies were called out around 1:30 AM for a reported fire on the roof of the large commercial complex. It took firefighters about 20 minutes to extinguish the main fire, but they spent the next few hours dealing with small pockets of fire in the roof. While on the scene, investigators noticed doors opened that should have been locked. The fire has been labeled suspicious at this time.
