Some members of Vigilant Fire Company were honored at the Erie County Fair this past August for their dedication to the fire service throughout the years.
John Gullo, Kate Kotecki, and Ed Dombkiewicz were all honored for their swift action upon arriving at the scene of a horrific car wreck on Main and Union in August of 2008.

James Kavanaugh was honored for his lifetime achievment in the fire service. Greg Dimon was honored for his years of service in the fire company.
Heroic Act by a Non-Firematic Citizen Award was awarded to Tracy Wisner of West Seneca. Mrs. Wisner was on scene of a motor vehicle accident which occurred in front of her residence. Her courageous rescue efforts of the victims on scene were well-deserving of this award.

Congratulations to all of the recipients, and thanks to everyone for their continued support of the fire company.
