Apartment Fire With Reserve

Late in the morning on July 10, 2009 Vigilant was requested as part of pre-planned mutual aid to Reserve for an apartment fire. Initial calls were for a bedroom fire, while en-route crews were advised of heavy smoke showing. Upon arrival Vigilant and Reserve reported a fully involved apartment fire in the basement apartment, and requested first-aid for a pedestrian struck in front of the structure. Crews extinguished the fire mostly from the outside due to the excessive heat from the fire. Crews remained on scene for a couple of hours.
